Pre/Post Construction

Whether new construction on virgin ground or a remodel on an existing site, our arborists will work with you and your contractors throughout construction to ensure that existing trees are protected and that new trees are installed properly and set up for success.

Tree & Plant Value Appraisals

Trees and landscaping are a valuable component of your real estate assets. And while it’s hard to put a price on the tranquility that they create, we are experts in determining the actual value of any given tree whether it provides shade, produces fruit, or otherwise serves as an asset to you and your property.

Tree Risk Assessment

Trees are organic structures that can often have underlying faults or weaknesses that are not immediately apparent and that create risks to people, property, and infrastructure. Rot in the roots or trunk, damage from wind or snow or animals, and overextended growth are just a few of the issues that we commonly encounter during assessments. Our ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified arborists are equipped with specialized training and a resistograph tool that bores into the trunk of the tree to detect decay and weaknesses. Based on our findings, we then offer solutions designed to preserve trees whenever possible or safely remove them when the risk of keeping them is too great.

Expert Witness

Trees can be damaged by a variety of things. Sometimes it’s unintentional damage from construction, or effects of improper use of herbicides in surrounding areas, while in other cases damage may be intentional or malicious, such as a neighbor trying to improve their view. Our arborists are able to evaluate root causes of tree damage or mortality and assist with determining liability using a variety of tools such as root excavation and soil and tissue sampling to test for and identify specific chemicals that may have damaged trees.

Tree Inventory

We use GPS-enabled, web-based tools to plot the locations the trees on your property you choose to track. We also record information such as tree species, height and DBH, as well as assessments of overall plant health and vigor. This tool is especially useful for municipalities, HOAs, and large estates. Your tree inventory can also be used in concert with management plans to gauge efficacy of treatments, track spread of pests or disease in untreated trees, or manage future treatments.
